This demonstration consists of eValid running a number of scripts on a prototype monitoring appliance, with result data displayed via Nagios.

Here are the details about scripts that are running in eValid in the eValid monitoring appliance machine, along with the display of results accomplished under Nagios.

  1. 1-Minute Interval Example
    1-tier, single URL
    >> Simple URL availability check.
    >> Several of these, they are very simple.
    -- Error: Failed to download.


  2. 5-minute interval: 1-tier, multiple URL, response time limit
    >> Base page availability and simple navigation working OK.
    -- Error: Took too long to finish.

  3. 5-minute interval: 1-tier, page sequence and validation
    >> Show where Adaptive playback yields YELLOW screens but no Failures.
    -- Error: Took too long to finish OR vaidation fails.

  4. 5-minute interval: 1-tier, account login
    >> Do the login and validate something critical then log out.

  5. 5-minute interval: 1-tier, e-commerce transaction
    >> Non-login, but select into cart then quit.
    -- Error: Took too long to finish OR vaidation fails.


  6. 15-minute interval: 3-tier, login and transaction out to purchase
    >> Login, select into cart, try to check out.
    >> Prototype is Ritz Interactive.

  7. 60-minute interval: Single-level dynamic link check (which will have variable length)
    >> Shows off dynamic link check feature.
